Treysti is once again organizing the Faroese Half Marathon Championship (FM) in Klaksvík. Treysti’s main sponsor is Norðoya Sparikassi, and therefore, the event is named Norðoya Sparikassi Half Marathon Klaksvík 2025.

The FM Half Marathon, Norðoya Sparikassi Half Marathon, and Norðoya Sparikassi Charity Run will take place on Saturday, May 3, 2025, on the streets of Klaksvík. The start and finish line will be outside the main branch of Norðoya Sparikassi, and everyone is welcome to walk or run.

About the Event
Treysti is organizing the Norðoya Sparikassi Half Marathon in Klaksvík this year, which will also serve as the official Faroese Half Marathon Championship (FM). It will be an urban half marathon, as the race will take place entirely within the city, following a 5.3 km loop.

In addition to the half marathon, there will also be a 5 km charity run.

Registration

(Deadline for online registration: Friday, May 2, 2025, at 22:00).

⚠️ Note: There will be no on-site registration for the half marathon.
However, for the 5 km charity run, registration will be available at Norðoya Sparikassi until 13:00 on race day.

Race Route
The start and finish will be outside the main branch of Norðoya Sparikassi and Betesda.
The half marathon route consists of four laps, running north to Stangaskákið (Victor á Lakjuni) and turning around at Bumshamar (Torvgøta).

The charity run consists of one lap of this course.

The event is certified as a DAF-approved half marathon course.

Age Requirements
Half Marathon: Participants must be born in 2008 or earlier.
To compete in the Faroese Championship (FM), participants must be members of a club under FÍF.
The event is open to all runners, regardless of FM participation.

Race Categories
For the FM Half Marathon, participants will compete in the following categories:

Men & Women – Open Category (born 2008 or earlier)
Men & Women – Veterans (born 1970-1979)
Men & Women – Super Veterans (born 1960-1969)
Men & Women – Ultra Veterans (born 1959 or earlier)
For the Norðoya Sparikassi Half Marathon Klaksvík 2025, the same categories apply.

Entry Fees
Half Marathon: 295 DKK
Charity Run (5 km): 100 DKK
Medals & Awards
All finishers of the Norðoya Sparikassi Half Marathon Klaksvík 2025 will receive a special medal.
1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each category will receive additional medals, which will be awarded near the finish line as soon as results are available.
No medals will be given for the 5 km charity run.
Race Number Pickup
Race numbers can be collected on race day (May 3, 2025), from 12:00 to 13:30 at the Norðoya Sparikassi branch near the start line.
