Marius DC & Silvurdrongur

two of the Faroes most exciting and innovative artists, will meet at Listastovan

Marius DC
He is innovative in his sound and lyric creation, exploring identity and existential questions with deep personality. He achieves this through his boundary-breaking rap, combining youthful energy with a captivating stage presence.

Marius DC released his third studio album, Listamaður ("Artist"), on November 23, 2024. This is his first complete album with newly written music in his native tongue. After five years on the Faroese music scene, Listamaður is a bold and self-reflective record where he examines his identity, artistic path, and position in the music world.
The title Listamaður was first used by Marius when he was 10 years old, during his first art exhibition under the name Marius Listamaður. However, Marius has traded brushes and ink for rhymes and music. His work, particularly his lyrics, has evolved continuously. With Listamaður, he sets a new direction with synth-heavy sounds and profound lyrics that delve into an existential crisis.
He emerges stronger on the other side, as the EP ends with a paradoxical dialogue between 20-year-old Marius DC and 7-year-old Marius. The main question of the EP is: "Who are you when no one else is watching?" The younger version of Marius answers: "An artist."

Silvurdrongur
With his hypnotic soundscapes, dystopian tones, and creative lyrics, he offers a dark but compelling universe where he explores existence and art with an avant-garde attention to detail.

Silvurdrongur, a versatile Faroese artist, works with poetry, music, and film. Last summer, he released his second album, "nú æt eg eftir ánni", which has received outstanding reviews in international media. For example, The Fader wrote about the album:
"... the album threads this needle with wondrous, hypnotic soundscapes that provide a strange, disarming setting for Silvurdrongur’s venomous bars."

In October, Silvurdrongur placed third in an international music competition in Italy, and in November, he performed at Iceland Airwaves to great acclaim. The upcoming spring promises exciting international concerts, but first, the group will perform at Listastovan in Miðvágur.

The lineup includes Jan Rúni Poulsen, Torleik Mortensen, Andreas Restorff, Teitur Lassen, Trygvi Danielsen, and possibly some guest artists.
