Annual open-air meeting on Skarðið on the first Sunday in August

Open-air meeting on the pass between Fuglafjørður and Hellur
This popular, annual meeting with speeches and singing takes place on the first Sunday in August at 3pm, weather permitting.
The hike to the pass starts at 2pm by the Tourist Information Office in Fuglafjørður. The hike takes around an hour, with the opportunity of continuing to the ‘Altar’, the ‘Castle’ or to Hellurnar, so bring a packed lunch and coffee and wear sensible shoes and clothing.
