Skrapt is an annual music and arts festival held in Tórshavn

Skrapt is an annual music and arts festival held in Tórshavn, the capital of the Faroe Islands.
The festival serves as a showcase for the alternative community and provides a platform for new sounds, with progressive acts and a vibrant party atmosphere. The first edition took place in 2023.

Skrapt 2024 will be held from October 18th to 20th, spanning three days filled with captivating events. The festival is centered around a cultural area in the heart of downtown Tórshavn, with the final closing event taking place at the local swimming pool, in the water.

Attendees will experience a wide variety of what the Faroese artistic scene offers, beyond the commercial mainstream. The program includes concerts, audio and video installations, performance art, readings, and screenings, all of which intersect in an insatiable desire to push artistic boundaries.

Journalist Rólant Waag Dam wrote about Skrapt in the cultural newsletter Frí Mentan (Free Culture) on Frihedsbrevet.fo on August 16, 2024:

“… this musical refuge and the alternative mindset that Skrapt represents are essential for the Faroe Islands – particularly in the capital, which is drowning in pop parties where the focus is on sing-alongs and rhythmic clapping.”
